Karlie Elizabeth Kloss was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 3, 1992, to Kurt Kloss, an emergency physician, and Tracy Kloss, a freelancer director for Lifetime Television. Her family has Danish and German roots. She has three sisters: Kristine Kloss (older), Kimberly Kloss (younger), and Kariann Kloss (younger). Karlie Elizabeth Kloss was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Kurt Kloss, is an emergency physician and her mother, Tracy (née DAlessio), is a freelance director of photography. In 2013 and 2015 respectively Karlie became a Victoria’s Secret Angel and the face of their PINK line until 2019 when their contract ended amicably. VS Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek stated “We’ve had great experiences working with her and we’re all wishing her continued success.”
Kloss retired from VS in order to focus on her business ventures which include two successful coding camps for girls called “Kode with Karlie” as well as being an angel investor for various startups including women’s led businesses
Karlie Kloss’s upcoming projects
Karlie Kloss has announced a new project with Adidas that she’s been working on for the past year. The supermodel and entrepreneur will be the face of the brand’s new campaign, “Create Your Own Game.”
The project is all about inspiring girls to be active and pursue their passions, whether it’s in sports, fashion, or music. “There’s no one right way to be a girl,” Kloss says in the campaign’s video. “Whatever you’re into, just go out and do it.”
The campaign will launch on International Women’s Day (March 8th) with a series of events around the world. Kloss will also be appearing in Adida’s new marketing campaign, which will debut during the Olympics this summer.
